William R. Stocking, Principal, of Northbrook Consulting Group, has been assisting large and small organizations implement effective and economical information and control systems through the use of technology since 1989. He has been involved with on-line data communication since the early 1990's and with Internet and world-wide web projects since 1996.

Bill has been an active participant in the Institute of Management Consultants, the Association of Internet Professionals, Chicago Computer Society, Northern Illinois Business Roundtable and Midwest Society of Professional Consultants.

He is the author of over eighty national and local articles on business computing including: E-Business 101, So, You Want a Website! 10 Hot Tips, Check-Up for Safe Computing and Database Delusions-What's a Database?

Mr. Stocking's business and computer systems experience includes: the implementation of accounting systems; website analysis, design and implementation; email systems; database and mailing list systems; database conversion, analysis and reports; local area networks; and system documentation. He has successfully completed assignments for retail, manufacturing, mail order, construction, wholesale distribution and not-for-profit clients. His satisfied clients range in size from the Fortune 100 to small businesses.

Additionally, Bill has developed and presented Seminars for the Institute of Management Consultants--Greater Chicago, the SBA's Small Business Development Centers of Illinois, multiple chambers of commerce, professional services firms and financial institutions, for executives, managers, and other consultants.

Mr. Stocking received his Bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota and did graduate studies in computer science and marketing. His former professional activities included working as a training manager for a division of the Singer Corp., founding of a chain of electronic retail stores and managing of information systems for a distributing business.
