Donald L. Joseph CMC is President, of Northbrook Consulting Group. Don has been a Certified Management Consultant since 1985 and is former President of the Institute of Management Consultants-Greater Chicago and Co-Chairman of the Independent Consultants SIG, Harvard Business School Club of Chicago. Mr. Joseph has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
Don has been involved in the impact of technology on management throughout his career, beginning with IBM, and as a consultant, instructor, and seminar developer for Brandon Applied Systems. He founded the Management Advisory Services practice for the Chicago CPA firm, Shepard, Schwartz & Harris and later was President of his own firm, DLJ Associates.
Mr. Joseph's executive experience includes being the first non-physician Vice President of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Vice President of Meystel, Inc., and both Vice President, Operations and Vice President, Finance and Administration of Russell-Field Paper Company. He has also been on the faculty of the Elmhurst Management Program of Elmhurst College and is currently on the MBA faculty of University of Phoenix.
Don developed and presented seminars on E-Commerce, Customer Relationship Management, and Year 2000 Issues for CEOs and consultants. These include seminars for the University of Chicago's E-Commerce Certificate Program, the Institute of Management Consultants, Midwest Society of Professional Consultants, numerous Chambers of Commerce, and the Small Business Administration's SCORE counselors. He is presently on the Information Technology Committee of the Village of Glencoe, Illinois and on the Advisory Board of Johr Legal Outsourcing, LLC.

He is a certified trainer for Sage's BusinessWorks software. an ACT! Certified Consultant, a Peachtree Certified Consultant, and a Sage Software Certified Consultant. Don has written and contributed to articles in Crain's Chicago Business, Talking To The Boss, and Silicon Prairie. In addition, was the editor and publisher of Weekly E-Commerce Management Update.
Mr. Joseph was national Chairperson of "Implementing Y2K Strategies: For Ilth Hour Contingency Planning, Business Continuity and Crisis Management." These conferences were sponsored nationwide by Advanced Learning Institute in association with The Cutter Consortium.
